Visits are good for the heart.

A dear friend is staying with us for two short weeks. We went to the city today on the train. Visited my favorite coffee shop in my favorite alley, found some public art in another alley, ate dim sum and headed home.

With her visit and the super busy work time of year, blog posts are going to be short on words, but hopefully sweet on pictures.

Photo Notes :: all shots taken with the D3 and Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 lens that is quite hit or miss if you ask me. I need to find a good walk around zoom lens that has a solid f/2.8 aperture for things like this. I miss my Tamron, but the one I love is only for digital sensors…

I have a new monitor that I am trying to get used to and also decided to switch up my shooting and post processing routine… so while things are taking longer on my end right now, it is all supposed to make things faster and easier for me. I will blog my thoughts on it all when I have figured it out. If the photos look different, bear with me. I have been editing on a glossy screened laptop for nearly 3 years.

  • an-gee-la - I am struggling to find a good mid zoom, too. I broke down and bought the Nikkor 24-70 b/c Veader talked me into it: the thing is a beast! It’s killing my wrist. I really miss that Tamron.December 3, 2011 – 11:21 pmReplyCancel
