Our Year of Thursdays :: Off to explore our Australian story at the Immigration Museum

Alec came here from the former USSR, I am a Virginia girl by birth and Gemma is our LA baby. The twins very well could have been born on an Air New Zealand flight over the Pacific. We are modern day immigrants. I am determined to learn a lot about my new homeland. I can’t wait to have an Australian passport. That reminds me, I need to get on that…
Read our review of our quick trip to the Immigration Museum on Time Out Magazine’s website and look for it (along with photos) in the next print issue!
One tip that did not make the article, if you head into the city via car, park in Crown! It is the best price (by far) and a simply a quick walk over the river into the CBD! Driving in ended up costing us less than taking the train and I really did not want to risk being stranded in the city because of trains breaking down in the record heat!

Without studying or even having read the book, I passed the test. Darn Governor General…I had NO clue what he did.

  • SarahKane - This is great. I saw a segment on TV about Melbourne yesterday and how it was so popular with young creatives and creative dirven families. I thought of you actually. It seems like your Thursdays have endless possibilities because of Melbournes wide variety. I really would love to visit. You make it look oh so tempting! xMarch 15, 2013 – 12:38 pmReplyCancel
