Departure. Our family trip to Hawaii in many parts starting with leaving Melbourne.

The weather did not beg us to stay, so we drove Chilli to a friend’s house, made arrangements for the cat and went to meet summer in Honolulu on a Saturday we would do twice.

The flight was pretty much ten hours of torture. It is not to be referred to by name, but merely “that plane ride.” We shall not speak of it again.

Next up in the series will be our “Arrival”, but for now, I will join my snoring family at 7PM and hope we all sleep through the night. Jet lag is a crazy beast.

Aloha for now!

*All images taken on the Olympus OM-D E-M10 with the 14-42mm lens. I will be testing it out for the next three months for #myfamilylens and sharing how it fits our daily life photoblogging needs! So far, so great! Killer little camera. You can check out the images I take with it (and send to my Android phone via built in WiFi) on Instagram by searching for the #myfamilylens tag. Those will all just be SOOC jpeg. These were shot in RAW and edited with the Replichrome Lightroom presets from Totally Rad.   I’ll be sharing my thoughts on the camera and all the great features in a collection future posts.*
