Finally.

I left Melbourne with the best of intentions that included not only family bonding and fun, but keeping up with work as well.

The first leg of the trip was fraught with jet lag, crowded pools, barely any internet and one very disabling ear infection. We enjoyed the warm weather and everything novel about being out of Australia. Like Starbucks, Target and driving on the other side of the road.

The second leg was full of visits with long missed friends, boundless fun and love that memories are made of. Every moment was bursting and scheduled including a three day wedding extravaganza.

Today, we went with the flow for the very first time and it was awesome.

There will be so many photos and I owe images to a patient group of clients, but while we finally have internet and some time to work, we also finally have time to breathe.

Only three more days until we have to pack up this summer party and head home to the cold, so we are going to take advantage of it while we can. That means that work will happen on the plane. Until the battery on my laptop dies as the JetStar service does not include plugs at the seats.

I will also be posting the story of our trip in MANY images here on the blog after I return to Melbourne. The Olympus OM-D E-M10 has been an exceptional travel companion for us and through her lens, I have captured some of my favourite images in a long time. It has been a delight to fall in love with taking pictures again. Finally.
