M.I.L.K. in the mail – rachel devine photography

by sesame ellis on September 3, 2009

i had no idea what delivery i missed from dhl yesterday, so i was extremely surprised and excited to open the mysterious box and find that the new M.I.L.K. book Friendship, Family, Love & Laughter has been printed!  i am thrilled to be a part of this and so pleased that all 3 of my children are represented.

there are some truly amazing photographs in this treasure…images that will take your breath away, bring tears to your eyes, and a page later have you laughing out loud.  the power of life represented candidly on paper.

also delighted to find one of my favorite quotes featured with an entire page…celebrate getting older, don’t be embarrassed to announce your age…i am about to turn 39 and i am proud of that!  look at my crinkles and lines and know that i have done a lot of smiling in those 38 years!

Congratulations – wonderful images for this great book. I have seen a MILK exhibition in London years ago and been amazed by the photos. And 39 is GREAT! Have been here a few months now!

I turn 50 on my next birthday. Any lines there are from laughter, too! Cute pics of the kids. Love your quote.

I adore the MILK philosophy and give the books as gifts often. I was once lucky enough to see a wonderful display they had in Federation Square in Melbourne. Beautiful!

ooooh how awesome to be in a MILK book!
I was given one as a teacher gift by a lovely family right before I left to have my babies and it was the most perfect gift ever!

GORGEOUS. i love MILK. can’t wait to see the pictures “live” and you just made my morning with the “age page”. i sometimes get overwhelmed with aging and you just reminded me what the wrinkles stand for.

Even people that know Johnny Cash’s music really well and know that he was married don’t really know that much about June Carter. So finding out about her really helped to inform my performance and to bring her to the front in a way that she has never been before.
