his first time out.

kieran has a fierce temper and when he freaks out, he will bring the house down with him. this time after the cuddles and speaking softly to him did not work, we just calmly moved the entire screaming, food throwing, face smacking version of our baby boy into the next room and shut the door. it took less than 30 seconds for all the wild monkey business to stop and i peeked through the window to check that he had not imploded. this is what i saw. luckily the camera was right on the table behind me. i took 2 quick shots and then escorted the little better behaved man back into the room with the rest of us.

I don't believe it – he looks like he could never do anything wrong
He is adorable and funny how when you do the time out thing the first couple of times they just look at you like whats up? what are you doing? Doesnt take long to calm down… He is such a little sweetie anyway though. Q 4 you. IS Clover walking yet? My girl isnt but shes trying but man o man the waiting is heck.
My 3.5 month year old gave me a sneak preview of a temper this morning. My heart sank. I'm not looking forward to certain parts of his childhood…
I love that sweet innocent look with his thumb in his mouth!
Och, so cute
Och, so cute
Cute !!
Thank goodness for whomever realised that time outs work!! I am so perplexed by this pik tho so those reflections are messing with me. As always, Keiran is A-dorable
such a cute photo of kieran.
he looks like he's truly sorry
excellent idea!! hahahha
hey, it worked.
So, Keiran has a temper?! And I thought that Clover was the one who did. All the same he's a darling boy!
Cool processing. Reminds me of the TTV stuff I've seen on Flickr. Fun!!
Back when my son was just entering his toddler years, some mom friends of mine looked in amazement as I calmed him by having him count with me. I didn't see what the big deal was, because he's my only child and I didn't have a basis of comparison. Eventually, those golden days ran out and now I have a toddler who is nearly inconsolable when he pitches a fit. It's fun, and just one of the reasons why I laughed when I read your tag line for this blog.
I have the same high chair for my son. Gotta love Ikea. Great photo.
