the trip up to sydney for the day was a perfect pre-birthday present. the wonders of a team of hair and make up artists, classic styling and a bad ass fashion photographer…cue the country music…i felt like a woman. i saw the photos on the mac in the studio and just stood there…it did not look like me. i mean it did, but it looked like a grown up version of the girl i see briefly in the mirror every morning scrambling to brush teeth and tuck hair into a ponytail.
i looked, well, i looked my age. and it was awesome.
tomorrow i turn 39 and i embrace it.
i really can’t thank clinique and marie claire magazine* enough for the opportunity to see myself looking the way i feel inside.
*i will be able to share the images from the magazine as soon as it is published.
to celebrate my birthday week (ok, 2 days…i am milking the time zone situation), i am going to have another photojojo contest, so keep checking back!
