in daily life

it still feels strange saying that summer is coming in november. i do not know when i will be able to get my head around christmas in summer. no matter how strange it seems, school will be out on december 4th and i have NO CLUE what i am going to do with a household of busy children. last summer, the babies just kind of stayed where we left them. now, not so much.

walking-girls

and gemma, she needs to be doing things. all the time. suffering from the first child syndrome, she needs to be doing things with one of us.

the next few months are really going to be a balancing act and with the new season of clothing ranges getting their samples, i think i may need to be getting that intern that i have twittered about. and i really hope that miss peta will be coming for another visit soon…we have lots of work to do!

morning-with-3-kids

oh and last night, the heat drove an unwanted visitor into our bedroom. the first huntsman spider i have seen inside the house and it had to be right above where we sleep. the spider did not survive. my apologies to the animal kingdom. we were not prepared to be escorting a spider the size of alec’s hand out of the house…at night..in our undies. my apologies also to anyone who heard me scream. there are no photos as i was afraid that if i went to get my camera, it would move and we would lose sight of it…if that had happened, i pretty much would have just have had to move out.

So who threw the shoe? Did you guys hit it on the first try?

Spiders here don’t get as big, buy we do have ones that are a bit bigger than a silver dollar. Our three cats have “taken care” of at least four that I know of. Go cats!

As for your work and kids filled summer, I’m wishing you the best of luck. :) I’m sure it’s that Alec is available to help around the house for now right?

Ewww spiders are so gross. There was one in my bathroom the other day and I went to go get something to hit it with and when I came back it was gone. I haven't been back in that bathroom since.

As big as Alec's hand? I think I would have freaked out. We have spiders in the basement, but many of them are smaller than a pencil eraser and not too scary. Occasionally we see a daddy-long-legs, but still not as big as a man's hand. Hornets bad and easy enough to kill. I don't like them, but they aren't as big as a man's hand, either.

Cute shirts on the twins! LOL! I know the sentiment well, though. Seen in a restaurant around here: Unattended children will get espresso and a puppy! LOL!

I got the same EXACT reaction with a spider at night on my ceiling, except it was only the size of my thumbnail :P P
I usually dont kill spiders, cuz they protect my candy from ants :3
and i was wondering, and too lazy to use google, does it snow in melborne?

ROFLOL.. you make me laugh! Huntsman are harmless and Alec should know this. Anyhow, who will eat all the ants? Besides the uber cute piks and the hilarious onesie, your reference to "undies"… is so Aussie!!! And as much as you find it weird to have Chrissy in summer, I still can't handle Chrissy in winter in SoCal. Life!
