no princess here. last year she was all tutus and fairy wings, but look at her now. my little rock star.

it rained about 3 minutes after this shot…we made it back down the block to our house just in time. i love the light right before a storm.

I love both photos, but that first one is perfect! A rock star party was a really good idea…she's rocking it too. Too cute.

Hello,
I’m a French girl and I’m eighteen, I’ve been following you on flirck and then on your blog for over a year now. I found it out because I was looking for baby twins portraits on Google. I found some of Clover and Kieran and then went on your flirck account to see some of Gemma’s. You have such a wonderful family. Gemma is a really sweet 5 year old girl and sometimes looks wise beyond her age. Clover and Kieran are also two nice babies turning into toddlers… I love you do and think you are a great photographer especially for kids’ photos.
I’ve never sent a message before because I thought it would not meen anything. But I just wanted to say that I enjoy following your daily life photoblogging and see your children grow up.
I’m only 18 and I live in France far from Australia but I appreciate reading what you wrote and watching your amazing photos that are always looking so perfect.
Sorry for my bad English. With lots of encouragements.

She is so pre-teen already! I love that she has your–and her own–super strength and determination. I still remember those beautiful big cheeks she had when she was a wee one, and now she's so grown up. Happy Birthday, Gemma! Hope you all had a great rockin' party!

I like the way she really stands out against the gray of the clouds in the background.
