while making the new galleries for my redesigned website, i found a lot of things i had never blogged. often when i am doing commercial work, i am not allowed to share the images until the project is released. by that time, so much else has been shot, that i forget to blog them. here are some from a fashion shoot in january. there are a few more from this range in the kid fashion gallery on my new site. the site will be up this coming week (if i get back to work creating the galleries!) my online portfolio has really needed a facelift, so i am very excited for the release of the redesign.
looking at these reminds me how much i really love working with tweens.

Love them! Glad you found them and brought them here those girls are darling!
Gorgeous photos, and beautiful subjects. <3 I, too, am glad you put these up.
These are fab, as usual. You know what you have a real knack for Rachel? Making kids, especially tweens, look so sophisticated and stylish without making them look like adults (or worse – kids trying to be adults). I guess what I'm saying is, bravo on keeping it classy. About 80% of the kids fashion photography out there is either tacky or creepy – or both. Yours, naaah, your work keeps it classy.
I do the same. I shoot photos almost everyday because like you it's what I do for a living, fulltime. However, I never, ever post my work online. I can go weeks on my blog without having anything to post even though I've been out shooting photos everyday, but I stopped posting my client work online after I had some issues with regards to that once. I am thinking of getting new release forms that incorporate an option for the clients photos to go onto the blog. I have some exciting weddings and fashion shoots this summer that I know I'll be dying to post so I think it's time for a review!
This is me all over – I mean, have you seen my blog? It's an endless succession of 'oh here's some photos I took five years ago but forgot about' – but that's not necessarily a bad thing. It can be fun to find oldies and I find 9 times outta 10, I hated the image first time around and love it second go around. I guess time makes you see things you didn't before!
Keep it up you – always a source of inspiration and all! x
Thank you so very much!
I wish I knew how you got your indoor photos to look so bright, clean, and white. All of my indoor photos, no matter what I do, look orange, orange, orange. Anyway… Wonderful photos! (as usual!)
Thanks! Lighting, white balance, exposure and then if all else fails, photoshop!
its so powerfull.inspiring photograph
