just confirming (again) that clover is not gemma

by sesame on April 12, 2010

gemma was all about the potty.  clover is not at all about the potty.  tried it one time, thankyouverymuch.  it will be diapers for her until SHE decides she would like to give the potty a go.  or no diapers as the case may be.

i don’t have a lot of “fear” about putting photos of my children on the web…clearly.  i am of the mind that there are a lot of things more dangerous to my children in “real” life for me to worry about than spending any energy on the supposed nefarious things that may or may not be done with these pictures by people who may or may not actually see these pictures.

but after giving it some thought, i censored this shot for the web for two reasons.

one, clover will someday be a grown up and may not like the idea of her (albeit, delightful) little heinie on the internets

and

two, i actually think it is funnier that way.

don’t worry, we will print the uncensored one for the house.

I love it. I agree with you, censored it is funnier. I posted almost the same shot on flickr today, censor and all.

The buns are probably not nearly as bad as her front, which is completely visible.

I think she's got a cute little belly button and a really cute little chubby belly.

My apologies.

I completely seen that as something it wasn’t.

Oh you horrible mother, exposing your children's "fronts"! Hahah, loosen up people.
Adorable photos, as usual, Rachel! I agree, the censor makes it just that extra bit funnier

Too cute. It is funnier with the bar across her bum. Now I'm thinking I need to go back and "censor" one I posted recently…

good for you for not worrying about stuff like that. i think it's really sad that we live in a world where some people (like me sometimes to be honest) are too scared to share pictures/ art with others because of the creepazoids out there. i put pictures up on flickr and then every now and again i'm seized by this inexplicable fear that some unsavory character might be looking at pictures of my children. urgh… makes my toes curl.

She's such a cutie.

I was potty trained young but my nephew was quite a bit older. He was not feelin' the potty, that's for sure lol

My favorite part is that you can see that she is so OBVIOUSLY grinning or possibly laughing really hard in this shot. i can see her saying, "HAHALOOKAMEEI'MANAKEYBUTT!" That's what my daughter would be screaming.

I guarantee that anybody that has a problem with a baby's bum is from the US. Everyone is so uptight here.
As always, love the photos of Clover.

I can't tell you how many people send me emails about putting even CLOTHED images of my kids online. Bloody uptight people.

i know everyone else has said it, but you're right it is funnier this way!
i remember potty training with my twins (theyre 6 now) and two little girls could not be more different. one would bring magazines to read and sit there contently for hours and the other wreaked havoc and it was devastation. (think of the potty like a ragdoll…bad times.)

so you are printing a less funny version for your house? makes sense! sure :)

I just love her. She is so darn adorable. I absolutely love her little expressions. Yeah my 21 month old just laughed at me about the potty too. And skamperred off, little turkey!
