our adventure thursday happened on a monday this week. peta and i took the twins to the melbourne museum.
the museum has some great bugs so i thought i would take my little boy for a look.
live bugs and dead bugs and drawings of bugs. all kinds of bugs.
well, he looked…

and then did this. for a long time.

and then he tried to escape.

but even the stickers on the walls freaked him out.

so we found a nice spot of light inside to explore.

and then we explored outside. you can see clover’s more adventurous adventuring that day on peta’s blog.

it was outside where kieran found his feet and had a blast.

my dear sensitive little boy, it is going to be a challenge to show you the world and help you feel safe while you experience it, but we will do our best. your laughter and smiles are the best reward.

Kieran is so darn cute. They both are but I really love his outfit here.
aww so sweet!
I was beginning to think that Gray was not afraid of anything until the DC zoo–its lizards. She’s scared to pieces of lizards.
K is such a little prince
love you!
Kieran, I agree with you on the bugs, and on outside being best!
oh god! their outfits KILL me! they are so adorable.
Awww, poor Kieran. My younger daughter is 18 and she’s still not fond of bugs and doesn’t like going in the bug room at our museum, either. Even the butterflies freak her out a bit, because she doesn’t want one to land on her. His scrunched-up face is precious! Sure looks like he had fun outside!
Once away from the bugs, though, it looks like Kieran had fun exploring things!
wow the pics are soooo amazing!!
poor Kieran…
Have must been a good day at the museum or not?!
Gemma was at school?!
Oh no! he looks terrified!
When my step-kids were small, Tom older by 3 years was terrified by all things creepy crawly whereas his sister Katie would happily place all sorts of bugs in her hand and then them shove in her brothers face! Tom however, was always a sucker for puppies and kittens… all Katie’s bravery disappeared when around fluffy creatures. She’d prefer a spider over a kitten any day – odd child. I’m happy to say they are both well adjusted around all creatures these days!
Love the shot with them both up against the wall!
What adorable outfits! They are so cute, and Kieran, the world needs more sweet boys like you.
