I usually like to have an ‘entry level’ Nikon about to treat as something for ‘fun photos’ and ‘daily, personal documentation’. Something that is a step up from the iPhone but without the bulk and hassle of my pro equipment. I had been using the D5000 for that and I was absolutely blown away with how great a camera it is. I use the D3 and D200, so it was nice to have something around my neck that doesn’t leave me with neck pain but allowed me to capture some great stuff. Since then I splashed out on the Fuji X100 would surpassed all my expectations (my first non-Nikon digital which verges on professional) and to be honest I use it more than even my pro cameras now, what an amazing camera. However, it is a fixed lens, so I would like another non-pro camera that I can use all my lenses on so maybe the D3200 might be a next little fun purchase. We shall see.

Oh and also, of topic, but…..I already mentioned how much I enjoyed ‘Beyond Snapshots’ (even as a professional, it has been a wonderful companion to me).
