While I still have a pile of images from Fiji to edit (and I will be slipping them in here from time to time as I get them done) it is back to daily life here and that means a weekend NOT in Fiji. Gemma sang with the school choir on the weekend at The Pink Lady art show that was on to raise money and awareness for breast cancer treatment and other programs. It was a bittersweet day to remember that two years ago we went to the same art show with friends and this year she is too ill to attend. The event was dedicated in her honor.
While Gemma is aware of what her dear friend’s mother is going through at the moment, the twins are not. For them, the event only had one level of meaning and that was fun. Oh to be innocent of the world again.

We came home and had some quiet moments.

The older I get, the more I appreciate the quiet moments…
