still waiting on film, so still playing this way. also waiting for the digital back fairy, but i have heard she does not exist.
i think i need to make a better contraption for shading the viewing screen and i have to settle on which lens for the d3 works best. it will all be a bit of trial and error and i apologize in advance for subjecting you to my experiments.

in TTV
one of the most exciting because it means that i am getting the Hasselblad back in action.
i promise to do more interesting things with the camera, but the twins were sleeping and the bear was relaxing on the couch. i think the bear’s smile actually gets a little broader when he knows that he will not be molested by the twin terrors. their nap is his reprieve. mine and the cat’s as well.

i really love the square format and this camera has been in my life for ages. it was my father’s camera and it means the world to me. i am so glad that i am going to be using it again and i will at some point get a digital back for it…someday. somehow.
for those who do not know the technique done to make the photo above, it is called TTV (through the viewfinder) so it is a digital photo taken with my d3 through the view finder of my medium format hasselblad camera. the focusing screen has the cross marks on it and the mirror is VERY dirty so that is why the photo is all dusty. it is a fun little way to use the older cameras without having to load film or buy the digital back (which costs about the same as a small car.)
