the sesame

i am an american ex-pat living in melbourne with my aussie husband and our 3 dual citizen kids.  i started taking photos when i was a teenager and that was a REALLY long time ago now.  i started my photography businesses, tiny photo shop for portraits and rachel devine photography for fashion and editorial,  in los angeles in 1995 and have been working with kids commercially ever since.  i completely stopped shooting under tiny photo shop about 5 years ago and am doing all my pro work now only as rachel devine photography.  i am not a MWAC (mom with a camera) although i am a mom with quite a few cameras.  photography and art came first.  WAY first.  i am however a MWAB (mom with a blog) as this is pretty new to me.  i started daily life photoblogging on flickr under the name, sesame ellis, in 2004…4 (+ a bit) years and over 3 million front page views later i am still sharing those images.  it has been and continues to be an amazing experience to share my photographs on flickr, but i find it a bit easier to share my personal journal entries and commercial work here in my own venue.  that is why this blog is being developed.

anything else that you want to know will probably be on this blog…i have a problem with TMI.
